Death

My Granny died this a.m., she was 93 years, gave birth to two (2) daughters, witnessed the births of eight (8) grandchildren and fifteen (15) great grandchildren. My Granny was dear to my mom, my aunt and my cousins. Anyone who every met her always had a smile and knew my Granny to be a great lady. She was the last of her generation in our family, outlived her older brothers and sisters, parents, husband and all of her inlaws, friends and cousins.

I will miss you Granny, you gave me such love and devotion amongst all the grandchildren I never really knew I was just one of many.

Love and kisses,

Jenny

Oh {{{hugs}}}!

I was just thinking about my Grandma yesterday. I was missing her. She was so special, like yours. She had one son and two daughters, 8 grandkids, 10 great-grandkids and bunches of nieces & nephews. Two of her 7 siblings are still alive. She was the oldest. Lucky her, she lived a long life (91 years) and was able to see all of them a couple of times a year.

Oh wow. It sounds to me like your grandma had a very nice life, and enjoyed your company very much. She was blessed to watch so many grandchildren grow. This reminds me that I need to call mine more often, while I still can. I hope you are well Jen, and sorry for your loss.

My condolences J, I wish I had some words of wisdom, but death is something that I am particularily unskilled with. I hope you feel better though, I am sure your granny would be smiling to see how you remembered her here.

A friend of mine's great uncle died today as well. Seems like March 14th is a pretty bad day.

I lost my father 5 months ago. The only thing that really helps me is knowing he went to a better place.

Sorry to hear that. But 93, she saw a lot in a long life. Just think, she was around when very few people flew. She lived through both world wars. She saw us go into space for the first time. Amazing to live in those times. Our times by comparison are quite boring.

What will we see if we lived to be 93? A nuclear war? Or will we see humans working together to go to Mars?
