Crap TV...yes thats right, my summer viewing has consisted of Reality TV. Rock Star-SuperNova, Big Brother AllStars, Project Runway, and some really bad crap that NBC programed with Regis as the host, and even more bad brain deterating garbage that stars Flavor Flav! Sometimes a girl just can't help but look at the train wrecks that frequent "reality tv".
My favoriate crap, by far, has been Rock Star. However, I was sorely disappointed last night that SuperNova chose Lucas Rossi as their lead singer. I like him but, like Dave said, I am not so sure I can sit through a 2 hour concert listening to him. I will have to see how he actually sounds on a CD, song after song. Also, Gilbey needs to step up and sing better back up and play better lead guitar if this band wants to have any kind of chance. I think Clarke will be the ego one of this group.
Big Brother, ah what to say what to say! Chilltown is the funniest most entertaining contestants to ever play a reality game in the history of reality tv! Brrrrnnggg Brrrrnnnggg....f'in hiliarous and I loved watching Dr. Will play everyone like a well toned violin! Kudos to Will and Mike Boogie for making me smile when I needed brain candy.
Now that most of these shows are over we are moving on to Dancing with the Stars. My children love this show and its something we can watch together and enjoy. I am rooting for Emmett Smith. I enjoyed his attitude and was pleasantly surprised by his moves, much better than Jerry Rice from last year.
Now my all time favoriate reality junk starts soon....Survivor....woo hoo. Not sure how much of it I will actually watch this year. Times have become busy in our household and my brain cannot handle much more dumbing down after this summer of lack luster programing.
With that I leave you with a a quote from Jeff Probst "Fire is life" well at least for some. In my house life has become "Reality TV"!

You have to check out my post from yesterday Jen. I am pissed about how Rockstar turned out. I tell it in a lot of detail in my post, but I think the whole show is scripted, and somewhat preordained. My wife is convinced that last year they knew JD would be their singer all along. They played him off as the underdog. But where are they now--INXS? Supernova is going to suck eggs, with or without Lukas. I'm a Dilana fan, but even her talent couldn't overcome the mediocrity of that band.
Scott I am agreeing with you here. I have picked at some spoiler stuff and a lot of people said the same thing this year about Lucas. That he was going to be the singer from the start.
I was pulling for Toby or Dilana at the end. But their careers may be the better for not becoming the leader. Much the same way Ryan has taken off. More creative license and all that.

The reason it looked like he was going to win from the beginning is because he was the best fit for the band from the beginning. I LOVE Ryan, believe me and I think you probably know that but he's better without SP and SP is better with Lukas.

I guess Glowie does love Ryan! This maybe just me, but I don't think Lukas will make it at all. I think Dilana and maybe Toby will do well in careers, at least I hope so. Don't forget Magni. That guy has talent, but has to work on stage craft. I thought this year had a much better talent pool than the last. I really hope Dilana reaches radio stardom. Man I really enjoyed some of her perfomances.
I know, it's embarassing to admit the crap shows I get sucked into. I have to force myself to go read sometimes instead of continuing to find new crap to watch.

I too am addicted. But my addictions are better than they used to be. I used to watch that crap the Bachelor and Bacherlorete. This is my second season of Survivor. Big Brother has been my obsession since season 3. Will did make this season the best yet (I didn't watch S2).
In the day I used to watch alot of game shows. Then it was the teary, sad movies. Then is was prime time soaps like Dallas and Falcon Crest
Now it's crime shows and reality. Oh and the hot shows like Friends, Grey's and Desperate Housewives. I can't not miss Grey's. I love that show!!!!
My name is arkie, and I'm a reality show addict. I have been watching all of the same shows you listed. I am now watching America's Next Top Model, and eagerly (yes, eagerly!) awaiting the 2nd season of Top Chef. I have no life, do I?
You know, years ago I was a reality TV addict, but the shows became so cookie cutter, so predictable ... I just couldn't stomach anymore. I detest Flavor Flav, but I did watch this last Big Brother because I LOVED Will Kirby years ago and still do today. He's just a perfect guy.
I also watched some of Supernova because I had a semi-crush on Lukas. I don't think he was right for the band, but I found him to be utterly ... hmm, well, addicting.
All the other reality stuff, I just can't do it.
